Six months and counting
Yesterday, Kirin achieved a milestone - six months of life. Amazing that it has gone so fast, that we are still sane, that he continues to entertain and confound us.... It merits a long blog entry but work and life are rather too busy to do that just now (this is also the reason that I have not updated the site for so long - sorry about that but things should improve).
This is Kirin's buddy Sandro, who is a little bit younger (I can't quite remember how much younger but at least a month). We met Sandro's parents, Giovanni and Hanna at our ante-natal class way back in August, and have become pretty good friends. Fortunately, they also live just up the road from us, in Archway, so we hope that our boys will be spending a lot of time together over the next few years. The north London posse awaits you Lyova!
The pictures are from a lunch we had at their place a few weeks ago. For the first time, Kirin seemed interested in another baby/child - up to now, I think he has been a bit too young for it to really click in. Or maybe he was just admiring another man with good taste in dungarees/overalls.

On another note, my good friend Harmeet, who was held hostage in Iraq for four months, was finally freed yesterday. Good news all round.

Re: Everyone wants to get published.
I've made some comments on Kirin's blog site, but they
don't appear to get registered. Maybe it's my browser or
settings...or something.
Anyway, I seem to remember Kirin made a 'pilgrimage' to Heston/Southall, but there's no mention of it on the blog!!!
I have the pictures to prove it!
No doubt you all agree this to be a major life-experience for Kirin, especially as he appears to have suffered no long-term ill effects.
Kirin's West London fan club request, nay demand , to be
published!!! Of course, we respect that Kirin has the last
word on his blog, so we accept that his decision is final.

Auntie S - You have always been one for the dogdy sideways glance.
Browler - Kirin seems to be at the stage Lyova was when we saw you back in January. I remember your boy reaching out to touch ours and Kirin generally seeming more interested in drooling than exntended a hand of friendship. It's interesting to see how they develop their social skills.
As for being too Russian, once we stick a pair of skates on each of them, Russian, Canadian - it's all good.
Uncle A - in good time

Uncle A,
a word from the wise... you gotta give Kirin special presents to get published you know...
He doesn't do it for free... the price of fame already. If you don't provide a goodie bag of designer stuff (you know diamond studded PDA etc.) then you don't cut the mustard ;-) He knows more than Paris Hilton already

Auntie Sarah is absolutely right and fortunately, the Gill family passed the gift test with flying colours. Books, clothes, a passport holder and lots of cuddles for baby Kirin. He - and his parents - remain grateful.

;-( I want to cuddle him too...
