It turns out pigeons do eat chips

The other day we were walking home when Malik stopped suddenly, pointed across the street and said, "See, pigeons do eat chips." We all turned to see a group of pigeons devouring some McDonald's french fries on the sidewalk. So, I guess he was right.

We didn't manage to take a picture in time but trust me, the boy is a genius.

Kirin took this one of Sami straight out of the bath.

Summer hols and birds

You know our kids are urban when this is how they describe what birds eat. It's rather long and you might have to listen carefully to work out what he is saying, but it is very cute. From our holidays in August to the south of France.

Sami seems to enjoy all the attention he gets from his big brothers. He's really smiley.

We got one of a smile... kind of

We have a name

Number three has a name: Sami Lal Pickering Mattu. Sami means "high or exalted", while Lal is a middle name passed down from my dad's family.

All three boys are in good form. Kirin told me, excitedly, that he scored a goal with his left foot today when playing football with the big kids; Malik had his first face painting session and chose to be Spider-Man; and Sami has shown himself to be a real smiler (lots of it but we haven't yet got the definitive picture to prove it).
