At 5:10am on Friday September 23 2005, Kirin Mattu made his first physical appearance in the world at the healthy weight of seven pounds fourteen ounces. At 1:37am on Thursday April 10 2008, his little brother joined the party, at the 37-week weight of six pounds 4 ounces. And at 12:34am on Wednesday May 4 2011, their little brother joined the party. Sitting and smiling

For us Canadians, dental hygiene starts early

One of Kirin's most recent achievements is the ability to sit up. He is still a little wobbly - eventually, he slowly topples to one side a bit like a tree being felled - but in the bottom photograph, taken this morning, he sat without support for about a minute.

Update - since this morning Kirin managed to sit-up through most our yoga class gazing at the very beautiful yoga teacher. He hasn't managed "Downward Facing Dog" yet but watch this space.
